The Safety Bumper Pad™, a patented concept, was invented and produced by a mother seeking a method for greater crib safety for her children. The product, when compared to standard bumper pads on the market, has many notable safety features that increase safety by preventing potential hazards such as ripped ties and loose pads.
The product incorporates interlocking outer pad straps which eliminate the need for bumper pad ties. The elimination of the tie strings greatly improves the safety and reliability of the product as the straps tightly secure the pad to the crib rail and restrict pad removal by the infant.
In addition to the interlocking ties, the Safety Bumper Pad is designed with a fitted retention sheet liner that is sewn around the entire bottom of the 4-wall bumper pad. This retention sheet allows a crib mattress to be placed inside thus securing the bumper pads in place while eliminating gaps and restricting infants from pushing limbs out causing injury, entanglement, and/or suffocation.
